Revised
Business Relocation Incentives
Governor Corzine enacted
Assembly Bill A-1696, the Business
Retention Tax Credit Expansion, making
businesses with fewer employees eligible
for New Jersey’s
Business
Relocation and Retention Grant
(click link to access a BRRAG
application) tax credits. Firms with as
few as 50 employees now qualify for this
program.

Deadline Near
for Economic Census Forms
If your business received an Economic
Census Form you are required to return
the form by February 12, 2008.
Approximately 6,100 Somerset County, New
Jersey businesses received a 2007
Economic Census form. Nationally, over 4
million businesses are required by the
United
State Bureau of the Census to
provide business related information as
part of the official 5 year measure of
American business and the economy.

US Small
Business Administration NJ Loan Activity.
In Fiscal Year 2007, the United States
Small Business Administration approved
3557 loans to New Jersey small business
owners for an aggregate of $585.5
million. The New Jersey District Offices
ranks 5th in loan approvals among the
Small Business Administration’s 68
district offices. In Somerset County,
New Jersey 117 loans totaling $20.4
million were granted. The average Small
Business Administration Loan in New
Jersey was $164,605. For more
